A new destination for 2026 is the Model County of Wexford – officially the sunniest corner of Ireland! The historic town of Enniscorthy, hailed by James Joyce in Ulysses as “the finest place in the world”, is an old Norman settlement on the banks of the winding River Slaney and overlooked by Vinegar Hill. This is the perfect base from which we explore many of the hotspots of Ireland’s Ancient East, including Johnstown Castle and its lush ornamental gardens, a step-back in time at the Irish Agricultural Museum, and Hook Lighthouse - one of the oldest operational lighthouses in the world.
