The Beautiful Cotswolds, Windsor & Bath
10th – 15th July 2013: 6 Day Tour
Over the years, the Cotswolds have proven to be one of our most popular destinations. This area of gentle hillsides & sleepy villages overflows with olde English charm, including the village of ‘Bourton-on-the-Water’ which is reputedly one of the most beautiful villages in Britain.
Our centrally located hotel means that we can enjoy leisurely touring of this scenic part of England including Shakespeare’s beloved Stratford-Upon-Avon, the Royal town of Windsor, and the Roman City of Bath.
Wed 10th:
Letterkenny – Dun Laoghaire - Holyhead – Stoke
From Holyhead we make the short journey across the Isle of Anglesey before travelling along the beautiful North Wales coast to arrive at our hotel near Stoke.
Thurs 11th: Stoke – Stratford-Upon-Avon – Swindon
William Shakespeare really put Stratford-Upon-Avon on the map and to this very day thousands of visitors flock to this beautiful Warwickshire town. Enjoy the friendly and relaxed atmosphere as we stroll through this popular historic town. This evening we make our way to the Hilton Hotel Swindon, our home for the next 3 nights.
Fri 12th: A Day in the Cotswolds Villages
Today we see the beauty of the gentle hillsides (‘wolds’), and sleepy villages of the Cotswolds, and towns such as Chipping Campden, Bourton-on-the-Water, & Stow-on-the-Wold, that have made the Cotswolds so popular.
Sat 13th: Day to Oxford and Windsor
Our first visit today is to Oxford, known as the City of Spires, and famous for it’s many universities. In the afternoon we continue to the Royal town of Windsor, where we can see Windsor Castle, the largest inhabited castle in the world.
Sun 14th: Swindon – Bath - Stoke
Today we visit the historic City of Bath where we can visit the famous Roman baths and enjoy time in this very popular city. In the afternoon we make our way north to our overnight hotel near Stoke.
Mon 15th: Stoke - Holyhead – Dublin Port - Letterkenny
Today we travel back to Holyhead with a stop in the little village with the longest name, llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogochuchaf . We board our ferry, taking us back to the Emerald Isle.
