London & The Chelsea Flower Show – Celebrating 100 Years
22nd - 26th May 2013: 5 Day Tour
If you’ve always dreamed about visiting the Chelsea Flower Show, this is the year to do it as the show celebrates it centenary. Nowhere makes gardening more fashionable than the Chelsea Flower Show - a catwalk of colour & creativity, the brightest new ideas, the latest trends, and the pinnacle of garden design make this show the one the whole world wants to see! This tour is a very special treat to all our keen gardening friends, but is also a fantastic opportunity for a short break in the City of London. Our tour is well-planned, allowing ample free time to sample London’s unique ambiance, and visit its most popular attractions.
Wed 22nd:
Letterkenny – Dun Laoghaire - Holyhead - Chester
From Holyhead we travel along the North Coast of Wales to our hotel on the outskirts of Chester. Here you can relax or enjoy a swim before dinner.
Thur 23rd:
Chester – Stratford upon Avon - London
As we depart Chester, we travel South, enjoying a leisurely stop in the beautiful town of Stratford upon Avon, before completing our journey to London.
Fri 24th:
Full Day at Chelsea Flower Show
Today, prepare to be amazed at the beauty of the gardens on display. Each year in May, the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea are transformed into the fabulous show gardens, inspirational small gardens and vibrant horticultural displays that make up the world’s most famous flower show. Whilst here, you have the opportunity to purchase a wide range of gardening accessories and many new gardening products making their debut at the show.
Sat 25th:
Free Day in London – Optional Morning City Tour
Today is a free day to spend as you please. Perhaps visit family and friends in London, ‘shop ‘til you drop’ in Oxford Street, or admire the views from the ‘London Eye’. This morning there is an optional city tour, taking in London’s famous sights including Big Ben & The Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, and London Bridge to name but a few.
Sun 26th:
London – Holyhead – Dun Laoghaire - Letterkenny
After a fantastic time, we leave London and travel North to Holyhead. We board our ferry, taking us back to the Emerald Isle. We arrive back in Letterkenny with plenty of new ideas and our green fingers itching to tackle our gardens at home!
