21st – 27th August 2013 - 7 Day Tour
Paris…one of the most beautiful cities in the world! This tour is fantastic value and is so much more than just a holiday in Paris as we have included visits to the magnificent former Royal Palace at Versailles, the beautiful Monet’s Gardens, a sightseeing cruise on the River Seine, and guided city tours of two of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world, Paris and London. We return from Paris to London on the fabulous high speed Eurostar train.
Wed 21st:
Letterkenny – Dublin Port – Holyhead – Daventry
We take the ferry from Dublin Port to Holyhead before travelling along the beautiful North Wales coast. We continue south with a stop en-route to arrive at our 4 star hotel in Daventry.
Thur 22nd:
Daventry – Folkestone – Eurotunnel – Calais – Paris
Today we make our way to Folkestone for the 35 minute Eurotunnel crossing to France. From Calais we travel through Northern France to arrive in Paris, our home for the next four nights.
Fri 23rd:
Paris City Tour
What better way to start our holiday in Paris than with a guided city tour, where we will view the famous sites such as the Arc de Triomphe, Champs-Elyseés, Eiffel Tower, etc. After an introduction to this beautiful city we have a free afternoon to explore and visit the attractions of our choice.
Sat 24th:
Cruise on the River Seine – Afternoon free in Paris
A leisurely start to the day with a sight-seeing cruise along the River Seine. This afternoon can be spent in Paris at our own leisure, perhaps choose a trip to the top of the Eiffel Tower or a stroll through the shops in one of the fashion capitals of the world.
Sun 25th:
Monet's Gardens at Giverny – Chateau de Versailles
The day begins with a short drive into Normandy for a visit to Monet’s Gardens at Giverny, famous for their water lilies. In the afternoon we continue on to Versailles to see the former Royal Palace, one of the world’s most famous chateaux and home to the largest palace gardens in Europe.
Mon 26th:
Paris – London - Watford
This morning we bid farewell to the romantic city and board the high-speed Eurostar train and make the 2½ hr journey to London where our coach will meet us. In London why not hit the shops on Oxford Street, visit a museum, or join us for a guided city tour followed by free time. Tonight we stay in Watford, just north of London.
Tues 27th:
Watford – Holyhead – Dublin Port - Letterkenny
This morning we travel North to Holyhead with comfort stops en-route before we board our ferry, taking us back to Dublin where we return to Donegal with wonderful memories of two of the top cities in the world.
